The Diocese of Middlesbrough, in conjunction with the Knights of Saint Columba, began Dial-a-Mass for the benefit of those who do not have access to a computer or the internet. The Mass is recorded and put on the telephone at 12:00noon each Sunday and remains available until 11:59am the following Sunday. The Mass will not go over one hour in length and tends to be around 45 minutes. Anyone who wishes to hear Mass in this way, for the cost of a local call, can access it by dialling 01642 130 120. This service has been well received and has been of particular benefit to those who feel isolated from the faith community. Additional costs for this service are covered by the Knights of Saint Columba.
